Abstract
The beginning of the second decade of the twenty-first century featured this controversial number by Columbia University professor, Mark C. Taylor, Crisis on Campus: A Bold Plan for Reforming our Colleges and Universities (2010). It was predated by the no less telling Saving Higher Education in the Age of Money (2005), University Inc.: The Corporate Corruption of Higher Education (also 2005), and other turn of the century criticism.
